Evaporator Fan

blows the cold/ freezing air over the product area
circulates the cold air and removes the warm air from product into the back of the evaporator
correct output temperatures will not be achieved if this breaks down
we recommend keeping at least one Evaporator Fan in stores (more if it’s a large machine).

Product Description

Evaporator Fan

The evaporator fan unit consists of an impeller fan blade, motor and fan guard. It forces the cold air from the evaporator over the product area and causes pressure changes in the spiral system to ensure correct air path is being followed to maximise the freezing or cooling effectivity, efficiently removing heat and reducing the temperature of your products.

Evaporator Fan Units are specified bespoke to suit each machine, as well as the dimensions having to match the evaporator fan unit must not be too powerful so as to push product off the spiral conveyor belt or to cause air egress out of the infeed and outfeed apertures, or too weak so as not to circulate the air around the spiral system causing air ingress, introducing external moisture to the evaporator coil causing it to blind, or for the air path to bypass the product area all together.

This is a vital part of the machine, as without all fans operating as designed the products will not cool or freeze to their desired temperatures. it’s imperative to keep at least 1 Evaporator Fan Unit in stores in case of a breakdown, its a long lead time item meaning any breakdown will cause product outfeed temperatures not to be met for the entire duration of manufacture and delivery of the part.
